"I met with Kadee on May 5th to cancel an umbrella policy, apply two specific auto discounts, and get a quote on how to properly insure my camp without using an umbrella policy. I was explicitly told the auto and umbrella changes were made, and she promised to follow up with the camp coverage details.
I never heard back.
After waiting a full month with zero communication, I finally went to a different State Farm agency. I was shocked to learn that it turns out Kadee had left it all undone. Not a single one of the original changes had been processed. The new agent had to start completely from scratch—and they efficiently finished the entire job in under an hour.
Chris,
Did you even read my review? Your response completely misses the core issue. Even if underwriting could not approve the camp coverage, Kadee explicitly told me on May 5th that the umbrella cancellation and my two auto discounts were already completed. Kadee also explicitly told me she would research coverage options for the camp and get back to me.
Discovering a month later from a different agency that absolutely nothing had been processed is not a "miscommunication"—it is a failure to execute basic service.
Furthermore, deciding that "no follow-up was necessary" simply because you couldn't write the camp policy left me completely in the dark. Professional agencies communicate structural denials and alternatives to their clients rather than ignoring them. The new State Farm agency I went to handles things much more efficiently, completing all of these updates in less than an hour."

Based upon the details you shared, Kadee explained the underwriters would not allow us to insure the structure. There was no follow up necessary as we were unable to move forward with the coverage. We will be more diligent to ensure there are no misunderstands moving forward. "

"Lee Nix has been awesome to work with! She helped me get homeowner's insurance for my first home and was more than happy to answer the numerous questions I had. She also helped me transition my previous auto insurance policy from my parent's account to my own to ensure I got the bundle discount. Made everything feel much less daunting.
